Josh Corry |
Attacking first
with a long range 3 ball, Corry the better scorer of the two did a
good job of mixing up his shot selection with pull-up jumpers &
using screens for catch & shoot attempts. Corry is a very smooth
offense player who is making better moves in transition. His ball
handling has really improved over the past year & Corry has seemed
to add some muscle to his frame.
The Wofford
bound Corry is primed to lead Gaffney High deep into the playoffs. |

Quayshun Hawkins |
Quayshun
Hawkins on
the other is the better point guard in transition. His speed,
quickness, & solid handling make him a tough to guard. Hawkins
started fast breaks by rebounding, pushing the ball, finished well
in traffic
& made some needle
point passes for assists. He was impressive using a variety of shake
& bake moves off the dribble. Quayshun made a claim of being one the
top guards in the class of 2011.

Carlton Geathers |
After missing ten months due to a knee injury,
Carlton Geathers looked better than ever. The 6'11 center displayed
soft hands by catching tough passes in transition. Geathers was
able to establish great post position & finished with strong
moves. He had the advantage with his back to the basket using
his great
size. Geathers was also able to use his long arms to alter shot
after shot on the defensive end. He displayed the ability to score
with either hand using a jump hook. Geathers is truly one of the
most intriguing prospects. |

Terell Magazine is a 6’9 Power Forward from CA
Johnson High School
Magazine is a skilled face up Power forward who plays
mostly center at the high school level. His perimeter game was
consistent through the course of the day & he is a good athlete who
runs the floor well. Magazine also did a good job of throwing the
outlet pass to either side of the floor.
Both big men
did well at fighting for rebounds & boxing out. |
